WISDOM
This may seem an obvious start to my list, but I think it’s something that can
not be taken for granted. When most people think of someone with wisdom, they think of Yoda or their grandma, but some of the wisest people I have ever met are children no more than 8. Their untainted view of the world leads to unfiltered wisdom that usually makes you laugh and melts your heart.
When your dad is mad and asks you, “Do I look stupid?” don’t answer him. – Michael
Never trust a dog to watch your food. -Sarah
Throughout my life, I have been blessed to be
surrounded by many wise people. One person in particular sticks out in my mind, my choir director, Mr. Keith Dixon. He is probably the wisest person I know, but he would never agree with you. Wise people usually don’t know they are wise(which probably means if you think you are wise, you’re not).
I can remember being in his classroom and he stopping rehearsal to tell a random story from his past. He then would continue on with rehearsal without any explanation for the story. It wasn’t till later that day, that week ,or even several years later that I understood what he was trying to tell us. I carry his nuggets of wisdom with me daily, and often think of them as I endure lifes many challenges. Should you ever get to meet this man, remember every word he says, he has a lot to share.
