25 Things That Really Matter: Saying I’m Sorry

by Jesshampson on November 18, 2009

I owe everyone an apology. I am very sorry for starting this list of 25 things that REALLY matters with all of you and then suddenly stopping for several days.  I have to be honest, though, I fell off the wagon.  I stopped caring about the things that really mattered and got very wrapped up in the things that were going on in my life last week.

In the last few days I have been through a whirlwind of stuff, from a flat tire on 59 in the dark to my dog having a bladder infection.   But I still owe you, my readers, a post despite all of that. So now that I have taken some time and I have put things back into perspective, I will continue with my list.

Saying I’m Sorry

This might be one of the hardest lessons to learn in life.  I will say I am the first to say I’m Sorry when I have hurt sorrysomeones feelings, because lord knows I can be very blunt sometimes, but I never mean for it to cause pain.  It’s the times though when you know you are right but you have to apologize anyway, that stink.  Or the other person might owe you an apology as well, so you don’t want to give yours without theirs first, man I hate that!

Saying sorry is hard, admitting you were wrong is even harder, but not as hard as it is to hear that you have hurt someone.  So maybe if we all lived lives where we were more considerate of others, less accident prone and more polite drivers, we wouldn’t have to say it as much.

Just a thought.

See the rest of the list!
